FAQ

When should I book?

The best time for a newborn shooting is when babies are under 12 days old- preferably from 5 to 10 days old. After that time frame, babies are a little harder to settle and not as flexible.

If you are planning on getting a newborn shoot, please contact me at any time during your pregnancy to give me an estimated due date and to make a tentative booking. When you arrive home from the hospital with your baby, you can contact me again to arrange a suitable day and time for your session.

However, if you have missed that timeframe, don’t worry, we can still get amazing pictures. For older kids anytime is good: babies around 5 months-old smile and can sit by themselves and that often creates great images.

Where will the shooting take place?

Your shooting will take place in my home studio.

Shootings at your own house or on location incur extra fees, and before booking we first have to make sure that the place is suitable for the shooting, i.e. big area and room temperature 28 degrees Celsius in case of newborns.

How long will the session take?

All babies are different, so there is not specific time frame for the shooting. It may take from 1 hour if the baby is older and in a good mood, and up to 3 hours if we’re photographing an unsettled newborn. The main goal is to get the best pictures possible.

When will I get the pictures?

About 3-4 weeks after your appointment I will email you a download link. This link will be active for 15 days after the upload. Once it’s taken down, an extra fee will be charged if you would like me to upload the link again.

If you prefer an USB, you can pick it up from the studio at around 3-4 weeks after your session.

Note: Your session fee does NOT include any prints. It entitles you to the selected and edited digital images taken at the studio.

How many images will I receive?

Depending on your baby’s age, the number of pictures varies. Older babies are more active, so we tend to get a lot of great pictures in the same background. If your baby is around 6 months or older, you can expect to receive around 100 images.
